Lite Brite Classic – AD Gifted

Mummy said it is so fun to have this super cool retro toy back again from Basic Fun Toys. She never had one as a kid so she’s super excited to play with mine to create beautiful pictures with the pegs.

What comes in the box?

Inside the box you will receive:

  • 1 magic screen
  • 206 pegs
  • 6 templates and
  • 1 art guide

This new version has a bigger and brighter screen and the glowing pegs are more colourful too. The pegs are coloured pink, yellow, orange, green, blue and white.

How do you use it?

It’s so easy and fun, all you have to do is choose one of the template pictures, insert the colours of the pegs needed and when complete, watch your creation light up. The letters on the template tell you what colour of peg to use so B is blue, G is green and so on.

How do the lights work?

There is a button on the back of the screen and press it to switch on to create different light shows from blinking to pulsing and steady to random. The first press will light up the whole board, the next press will light up some areas sporadically, the next press will flash the whole creation on and off then the final press will turn it off again.

The set doesn’t come with batteries so make sure you have 3 AA batteries so you can start having fun straight away!

What design templates are included?

There are 6 templates that come with the set:

  • A boat
  • Mountain range
  • Flowers
  • A truck
  • An elephant and
  • A unicorn

There is also a template art guide with some more designs to try out such as a frog, a seahorse, hot air balloons, a clown, a beach and a parrot. You can download these at www.basicfun.com

The top 3 photos are taken in the dark, the pegs glow so brightly.

The Lite Brite is built for travelling and will be so fun to keep us entertained on long car or plane journeys.

Where can I buy one?

The Lite Brite Classic can be found at Smyths Toys for ยฃ19.99 RRP. I think this will be on a lot of Santa lists this year!

Thank you so much Basic Fun Toys for sending us your Lite Brite Classic to try out, I’ve been having a lot of fun copying your templates, as well as my own, I even tried my name, well half of it as it’s 7 letters (lol)!
