[AD] Colour Crush from Paladone Games

The multicoloured game where every question has a colourful answer. Stir up the games night fun with Paladone Games, a fun competitive collection which started 25 years ago on the Brighton Coast.

How to play the game

Colour Crush is for 2-6 players and is aimed at ages 8+. The set up time is less than 5 minutes and 1 game will last for approximately 30 minutes.

  • Start by setting your board and cards up
  • Each player should select which colour paint brush they would like to be (green, blue, yellow, orange, red or pink)
  • Decide who is going to roll the blue number dice first
  • Move that number of spaces and let the game begin

What do each of the different spaces mean on the board?

  • Safe Space, the arrow symbol – means this is a safe space. You do not have roll the pink dice and take a card. However if you land here on your first go, you do get to roll again
  • Roll, which has a picture of the pink dice on it – the pink dice will determine your challenge (trivia, act or draw)
  • Colour Crush – this means that you can nominate another player to answer a trivia question. If they answer correctly, you get to move forward 2 spaces, if they answer wrongly then move back 2 spaces
  • Wash Out, this is the ! – this means you have to move back 4 spaces
  • Colour Bloom, this is a star and you get to move forward 4 spaces
  • Colour Spill, a hexagon shape with a splash of water with and up and down arrow – follow the arrow to a new space

What do the different cards do?

The Act Cards are exactly what they say. Here is Maxwell trying to act out a flamingo! Some other examples of the Act Cards are rain, snowball, crown, shark. pumpkin and many more. The Act Cards are a lot of fun and makes the game so fun and interactive as well as providing lots of giggles

The Trivia Cards are full of fun trivia from movies, games, songs, TV shows, singers and more. Some examples are ‘What colour is the Cookie Monster in Sesame Street?’ Another would be ‘What colour are clownfish excluding their stripes?’

The Draw Cards are our favourite from the 3 varieties. Some of things are easy enough to draw like a strawberry or a frog. Some of them are a little harder but that’s when it gets really fun, things like milk, Aladdin’s magic carpet or metal scaffolding.

What is our overall opinion of Colour Crush?

We give this game 10/10, it is definitely one of our favourite games we have played this year! It is quick to set up, easy to understand (we picked it up straight away!). The little paintbrush pieces are fun, the game is colourful and whether you get a trivia, act or draw card, they are all a lo of fun! Even Daddy loves this one and it will be being packed for all of our caravan trips next year! We highly recommend this one!!!
